I sold my BMW R65LS to someone in New Jersey back in January 2005.

The other day, I got an email from someone who said he bought my bike and could he get a bill of sale for it. I thought this was pretty odd, but the guy knew the previous owners name and address and lots about the bike, including which bills I had sent with it. As it turns out, the New Jersey guy wound up moving out here to Northern California and decided to sell the bike. He didn't have any of the paperwork, though, having lost it in the move, which is why the new owner contacted me.

The funny thing is, the new owner is in Lagunitas, and I bought the bike in Santa Rosa, only a few miles away. So it's made a trip all the way around the country.
